Uscito per Pop Up Live Sessions After Midnight, il nuovo secondo singolo degli In June, la giovanissima band romana dai forti riferimenti all’alternative rock europeo che ha esordito con il brano Years, pubblicato a fine gennaio.
After Midnight parla di scelte, dell’importanza di saper ascoltare la propria voce interiore e non i dubbi che rischiano di mandarti fuori strada. È stata la prima canzone che abbiamo composto e suonato tutti e tre insieme e richiama atmosfere rock e malinconiche tipiche del nostro mood.
Un brano oscuro di carattere, malinconico ma deciso. Un nuovo capitolo per il power trio che miscela il rock alternativo inglese alle atmosfere nord europee ricche di riverberi e profondità tipicamente downtempo. Il timbro potente della voce di Dan è sostenuto da testi evocativi, chitarre e bassi saturi e suoni di batteria ad alte dinamiche. Una nuova conferma per gli In June che si muovono tra influenze che arrivano dalla scena elettronica mitteleuropea, tra le atmosfere glaciali in stile The XX, senza rinunciare ad elementi pop à la Lorde.
