Ghosts è il video del singolo di Lotte Kestner tratto dall’album Off White per Saint Marie Records.
Dopo avere cantato nell’album Push the Button dei Chemical Brothers, vincitore di un Grammy Award, Lotte Kestner è recentemente tornata sotto i riflettori quando Paolo Sorrentino ha scelto la sua versione di “Halo” di Beyoncé per una scena chiave della serie HBO The Young Pope.
Ora Lotte ritorna con il nuovo, affascinante album Off White. Canzoni di alabastro, spettri abbastanza intensi da invecchiare un giovane papa di 50 anni e mandare in frantumi la sua fede.
Lotte Kestner è lo pseudonimo di Anna-Lynne Williams, ex voce e chitarra nella band dreampop Trespassers William ed attualmente attiva anche nel duo Ormonde.
A tratti la sua voce ricorda la Aimee Mann di Magnolia, ma le atmosfere di Talk Talk e Red House Painters sono un paragone più appropriato. Le sue canzoni si basano ora sul pianoforte, ora su una chitarra acustica minimale, ma prendono corpo con synth esangui o, nel caso di “Have You Sailed Home”, archi.
