Rock and Roll è il brano d’esordio di Phonix. Phonix, all’anagrafe Enzo Foniciello, è un cantautore, musicista e producer che ha all’attivo produzioni (Joe Barbieri, Tommaso Primo, Simone Spirito) e collaborazioni (Giovanni Block, Foja, Giglio) con i testimoni più rappresentativi della new wave napoletana.
In questo caso, la canzone è il primo tassello di un più ampio progetto in lingua inglese che l’autore ha scritto, arrangiato, prodotto ed interpretato (ed anche danzato). Un omaggio ai generi che hanno scritto la storia della musica – uno su tutti il rock – e che celebra icone come Elvis Presley, i Beatles, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder.
