I Winter Dies In June, band emiliana, tornano con un nuovo album e un singolo estratto intitolato Aeroplanes di cui hanno realizzato videoclip diretto da Stefano Poletti
Dopo alcuni anni di distanza dall’ottimo disco d’esordio The Soft Century, la giovane band emiliana dei Winter Dies In June torna sulle scene con un concept album maturo e con il video di Aeroplanes, il primo singolo estratto da Penelope, Sebastian uscito il 13 aprile 2018.
Aeroplanes è la prima traccia del disco, ma anche ultima in ordine cronologico. La consapevolezza della fine e la tattica di distruzione del ricordo. Il pezzo ha una strofa piuttosto filante mentre il ritornello si svuota anche se rimane un incedere marziale, mentre Penelope analizza cosa è diventato Sebastian, un drogato di consenso che cerca senza trovarlo in mille persone quello che prima trovava in una. San Francisco e Londra fanno da sfondo allo svolgersi dell’azione E anche i ricordi musicali tra i due vengono seppelliti (“no Decemberists, no more Elliot Smith just an empty seat when I’m driving back home”)
